Overview

Track down the Bane Officer Varga and Hraak along the long eastern trail between the trenches and Thoria Das. Eliminate them along with their Hominus Machina escort, then report back to Quinn in Foreas Base.

Note: This escort starts just outside Foxtrot near the Warnet nests and wanders along the trail from there.

Briefing

Field Lt. Quinn:

I'm going to need you to stem the Hominis escorts on the eastern line, soldier.

We've got a mess of trouble moving up the eastern trail towards Thoria Das. The Bane have been escorting Hominis Machina up north recently. It may mean they're planning on using the Machina for slave labor, but we're not sure why.

I need someone to track these convoys down and eliminate them. If you can take out the two Officers and their Hominis Machina escort, that'll stall their plans while we investigate.

Debriefing

Field Lt. Quinn:

So they were coming up from far down to the south, eh? That's a pretty long stretch of patrol. I'll make sure we've got troops deployed in the area and maybe we can make their little walkabouts a bit more difficult in the future. Good work, soldier.

Walkthrough

You don't have to eliminate all of the targets from the same patrol at the same time. If you only kill one of the officers, you can catch the other in the next spawn.

Report back to Quinn to claim your reward.

They will spawn at the edge of Thoria Das by the fire pit (around 130, 850) every few minutes, then stop spawning for an unknown period of time. If you don't catch the spawn they immediately wander in to town and get attacked by the Foreans. If a corpse is left unlooted that individual will not spawn in the next spawning until it is looted.

They have been known to spawn at other locations along the road from Thoria Das to the trenches past Foxtrot as well including a point just south of Foxtrot, the Crossroads, and others. This randomness makes the mission very difficult to complete as spawn times are random in random locations covering a line half as long as the zone.

Bug! Kills usually do not count towards the mission goal if NPCs attack them first (even though they do almost no damage), you may need to kill each officer and the machina several times over to get credit due to villager interference. This further complicates the mission completion from the notes above.
