Spotter is a ability of the Ranger class.

"Utilize the power of Logos to tap into the Waypoint Network, bringing an ally on the battlefield to provide combat support. The ally cannot leave the area of translocation and once the abilities energy is expended the ally will return to base. Training in this skill allows more powerful allies to be called with each skill level."

Usage

As you use the ability, just like the description says, one of the dummy NPC AFS soldiers beams in. what the description doesn't say, however, is that the npc WILL follow you around, and will have the same level as the person using the ability. A little after 2 minutes, the soldier will vanish in a burst of blue logos light.

Analysis

A somewhat decent ability to have activated as you go thru trenches, as the soldier will engage and fire back at troops attacking him and you. the only backdraw however is that the soldiers seems to suffer from extremely low attention span : they will shoot 4-5 shots into a guy, then just kinda stand around, or run back next to you. Still, it is interesting to have your "battle buddy" around, if only for him to get shot at while you bead on the thraxes rushing you from all sides. Would be interesting to note if the higher pip versions of this skill are more aggressive.
